Well then ... one more suggestion ... clone production to a test environment. Test the upgrade from 3.6.x to 3.7.x (by the time you get round to that, things change - higher version of 3.7.x will probably be available by then).
One can then 'leisurely' work on the test environment.
And if there are issues then, start a new thread in forums ... or this thread becomes the "KLC Support blog".
