Since the last 8 days empty past slots have ceased to being deleted. What could be the cause and how can I fix that?

Dear Sebastien,
these are deleted by a cronjob (or "scheduled task"). You can check on the Moodle admin pages whether the job has run. Maybe there's something blocking your cronjob?

You're right, it was simply the cron not working.

You can disable the corresponding "Scheduled Task".
