We are wondering about the performance impact of enabling global search using simple search on 3.6. Our Moodle instance is not terribly small (~5500 courses per semester, ~800 users at a time). I vaguely remember discussion when global search was first released that there were performance issues with using the database as the search engine.
Is anyone using simple global search that can share any performance experience? Please and thank you!
