Thanks Cas for a Really Useful Function!  The single signon for postnuke -> moodle works a treat for me.  Only one problem and it's not a big one - when moodle logs a user out after inactivity, they need to go back to postnuke to log in again - the moodle login page won't allow then in again.  This is not a major problem, just that I need to make users aware.
