Hi Kerry,

I don't understand your question. Can you give us an example of what you mean?

If you mean "can I export my MoodleCloud site", the answer is that you can get a database dump and use that to setup a Moodle site on your own server.

Hi Mathieu,

What i am trying to ask is if I can use Cloudfare instead of Moodlecloud.

Thank you for your prompt reply.

Hi Kerry,

Do you already have a Moodle site? If so, are you sure it's a MoodleCloud site (ie, with a url on *.moodlecloud.com or *.moodle.school)?

I'm confused by what you're trying to achieve. You can certainly use CloudFlare, but it's not at all the same kind of service as MoodleCloud. If you are hosting your own site, yes, you can use CloudFlare (at least for those services that make sense in Moodle's context).

You can use whatever hosting suits you. I recently demonstrating some Moodle quiz features to a class of about 40 people on some hosting that costs me $US12 per month (Digital Ocean).  You can backup your courses, download them and restore them to wherever you like. You can also get Moodle Partners who are experts in Moodle hosting to host your contents, not the cheapest, but the most knowledgable. See the adverts that appear on this site.

I am not aware that CloudFlare do the type of Hosting needed for Moodle, but I might be wrong.

I'm sorry, if the sarcasm in my previous went too far. I was pointing to the fact that Cloud has become everybody's darling word and lost any meaning. I guess, you use Cloud in the sense of https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cloud_storage whereas the use of Cloud in https://moodlecloud.com is derived from https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cloud_computing.

Rather than getting distracted by this term, it would be easier if you tell us more what you do now in the MoodleCloud and what you intend to do in the future. Then have a look at https://support.moodle.com/hc/en-us/categories/115000822727-MoodleCloud/.

"Cloud has become everybody's darling word and lost any meaning"

It's probably better if people think of Cloud as 'someone elses computer'
