global search not working properly right now on Moodle.org in the English forum ?

Hello,

Another error, though a bit different from the previous 2 I had with the Global search...

When I look for :

prison

(in the Global search)

https://moodle.org/search/index.php

I find no result at all for Moodle in English.

(though there are several English language messages in the forum talking about : "prison"...)

If I look at the choice "Everywhere [i] have access to", this leads to a unique result :

https://moodle.org/mod/forum/discuss.php?d=352103

(only 1 result,

actually there are more than 30 right now : https://moodle.org/mod/forum/search.php?id=20&search=prison )

Maybe the search index needs to be rebuilt / the database need to be checked ?

I am having similar issues to this. Say I have the word garden a lot on my site - the global search engine won't find it. It will find flower, garden hose, hose, but not Garden. Sometimes if I add a space after the word garden it does find it.
I have reindexed a few times but it seems it just refuses to look for garden most of the time, or if it does search it, only finds 2 results when there are many. This is despite searching as an admin with the search settings on 'search all areas you have access to'. It's really weird. That is using Moodle 3.5.9

Hi Kathy,

The global search on moodle.org seems to be working OK for me, so I guess reindexing, as suggested by Pascal months ago, worked!
