I am trying to find where the state of the Moodle sections is stored?

So where is the table in the Moodle database that stored a value for each user that is changing when they expand or collapse a section in Moodle?

So that Moodle knows how to display the page the next time it is loaded.

? Moodle does not natively expand and collapse sections.

What version (as per the information at the top of the forum) of Moodle are you running?

Sorry if I missed some information, the feature I am talking about is this (https://docs.moodle.org/36/en/Collapsed_Topics_course_format ) collapsable topic course format.

I found the information I was after. The state is stored in the [mdl_user_preferences] table
