Un servidor que utilice SSL no deberia usar el puerto 25 asi que ese debe ser el problema. Comprueba el puerto utilizado por el servidor y añadelo a moodle
Gracias por la respuesta. He comprobado los datos según el servidor de correo y ahora obtengo este error.
Hay dos problemas:
1. La dirección que oruebas no existe o tiene problemas

2. Hay un error SMTP al conectar al servidor. Eso es posible porque el puerto no es correcto o el servidor no es SSL. El puerto 587 se corresponde normalmente con TLS y el 465 con SSL. Verifica ambos puertos y que realmente el servidor disponga de dicha seguridad activada.
Cuando uso el otro puerto, el 456 obtengo este otro error, me da la sensación de que la conexión es más viable, pero al final de todos modos el mensaje no se envía. Me podrían ayudar a interpretar estos errores? Muchas gracias.
