Set up three quizzes called quizA, quizB and quizC and a formula in the gradebook = quizA + quizB + quizC. In each quiz, set Restrict Access to the desired note in the gradebook formula. This works ok but, in my opinion, it is not worth the effort setting up because the same pedagogical value can be reached with a simpler approach.
