Dyndns problems with newbie install

I am trying to install moodle on my home system that has a dynamic IP.  With dyndns I have an account bassmoodle.dyndns.org but cannot access it.  I have installed it as a localhost (which works fine), but can't seem to access it from the internet.  I have done the http port forwarding on my router and have a client to update my ip, but cannot seem to get it to work.  I continually get the error that "The connection has timed out."  I've tried everything that I can think of to no avail, can anyone help?

As I read this post I realized I probably didn't give enough info.  I'm running this on Windows XP and installed Easy PHP.  The URL I'm trying to use is http://bassmoodle.dyndns.org/moodle.

Thanks in advance to anyone with any advice.

Bill, I can't help with your Q but I too would like to access the Linux moodle box I built from the web and am interested in how you did this with dyndns.

I can't register my site yet as it comes up with http://192.168.1.35 I too am on a dynamic IP from my cable modem supplier. Does anyone know how or where I change the IP address info? The moodle registration page has picked up my internal IP from somehere and i can't seem to find where to change it.

Any help greatly appreciated
