I believe global search will find text in the SCORM activity description or in Tags added to the SCORM activity. But you cannot search inside the SCORM package. Some SCORM authoring programs will let you add a search box to the activity player, but you must be running the player to use that.

Hello Floyd,
I tried global search with tags added to the scorm activity. But it is not working. I went to the particular activity and added tags to it. The functionality is also enabled in the advanced features.

Hmmm, sorry about that. It was a guess on my part without doing more research! I looked at more documentation today ,and currently Tags are searchable only by the Tag block.
Move your Tag information to the SCORM activity description box. According to the Global Search documentation, a search should find that information. See https://docs.moodle.org/33/en/Global_search#What_can_I_search_for.3F
