based on the discussion with Dan , would it be please possible to modify enrollment dates of students so that the dates match the official beginning of the course ?
The reason is that the attendance plugin accepts attendance taking by student only within the period after student's enrollment. However, students usually enroll the Moodle course after the first lesson, and teacher (me) has to mark their attendances manually.

If you're using Moodle 3.4, you can go to the Participants page and select all, then bulk edit user enrolments and set a new enrolment date.

As soon as we get newest Moodle (currently we have Moodle 3.3), I will be using enrollment date modification to enable students marking attendance by themselves from the very beginning of the course.

I just discovered that you can only edit or delete user enrolments in bulk for users who were manually enrolled.
If you'd like to be able to edit user enrolments for users who self enrolled, please vote for MDL-60811. (You'll need to create a tracker account in order to vote.)

this issue is fixed with newest Moodle, so I can close this thread as solved.
Thanks Miro for your update. Good to hear that it is possible in Moodle 3.5 to bulk modify the enrolment date for self enrolment.
