Combining Plugins Course Overview/My Grades

I'm trying to combine two plugins. Has anyone ever done this? The idea is to add a tab to the 'Course Overview' Block and name it 'My Grades'.


I would then use the information found in the 'My Grades' block to populate grades in that tab.


If you've ever done anything like this before, where do you begin? Any help or input is appreciated!

Update: I've been able to remove the 'timeline' tab from Course Overview Block.

I also renamed the 'In progress' button to 'enrolled courses. I also removed the 'future' and 'past' buttons. 

I added a button called 'grades'. I hope to import the info from the 'My Grades' block into this area. Still trying to figure that part out.
