Matt's sent me his latest manual for teachers which looks like a great introduction for teachers that delves down into some detail.  I've converted the Word document to a HTML page and you can find it in CVS or here on moodle.org

The german translation is as pdf-File ready and can be found in the german language forum. It is the first version with the original english screenshots. Sonn we will change them to german screenshots.

Hi Karrie,

the Version 1.1. you find on moodle.org http://moodle.org/docs/teacher-matt.html. The german translation is in the german language forum.

Matt wrote in the last days a new version for 1.2. Some german user are translating the text. You find the englisch 1.2 version as pdf File here http://www.mymoodle.de/pdf/moodle1-2.pdf.
