I would like the core profile field "Department" to be a drop down menu. Is it possible to make the department field a dropdown? Or set the department core field to be equal to a custom profile field that is a dropdown?
Any luck here? I'm also looking to add this to a site.

I don't believe that's possible, you would probably have to create a new profile field and label it something similar.
