I am using a single Moodle 2.1 site for two different "schools". In one of my new courses I want to open up the course self-enrolment option to students from one of the institutions while students from the second institution will be manually enrolled in the courses, so I don't want them to be able to self-enroll themselves.
Is there a way to enable self-enrollment for just SOME students on my Moodle site?
Probably not... how would the enrol plugin know which were the "right" students?
If this, say, hinges on some parameter in their profile then a customised version of the self enrolment plugin would probably need to be created.
Also... Moodle 2.1 is now *very* out of date and unsupported. You should seriously consider upgrading.
Would a possible solution be to set an Enrolment key and give it to the students in the first institution only?
