Has there ever been any discussion on modifying core_webservice_get_site_info so that you could specify an argument and limit the fields that are returned?
For example if I only want core_webservice_get_site_info to return VERSION and RELEASE but nothing else?
There is a deprecated argument called serviceshortnames but it is unclear what that did. If limiting fields returned is what this deprecated argument did, then I assume it was obviously decided that this not a feature that was wanted for some reason.
However, if that is not what this deprecated argument did, then I could open tracker issue for feature consideration.
