Email Authentication for Enrollments not being received

I recently had a large enrollment, and 80% of the students that enrolled did not received their confirmation email, once they created their account (not in junk mail either).

Why did the emails not go out or why were they blocked on the recipients end without the recipient knowing?


We are using version 2.9
