I've moodle installed on iphone. I want to add a submission, however from my phone, the app does not allow me to search for previous audio recordings, it just allows me to do recording integrated into the app. Is there a way I can search for other directories to upload a file through the app?

Hi,
iPhone doesn't allow to explore files (in iOS 11 there is a new File app but it is not a file explorer), the only way to use previously recorded audio files is via file sharing, see https://docs.moodle.org/33/en/Sharing_files_with_Moodle_Mobile_with_iOS
