Hi

i've noticed a bug when trying to add a link to an image in atto.

after selecting the image, I click on the icon in atto to add an image and after I enter the url in the dialog box - there is no error but the link is not added, is if nothing was done.

I noticed this only happens when the image is aligned either left or right.

here is the steps I do:
* click the "Image" icon in atto to add an image. in the dialog box choose "Alignment" to "left" or "right".

* select the image that was added and click the "Link" icon, in the dialog box enter any url.

after the dialog box is gone, the link that the image is suppose to link isn't there.
it's just the image.
if you click the "HTML" icon in atto , you can see there was no link added.

this bug is visible at demo.moodle.net which is the latest moodle version if I'm not mistaken.
this happen in both chrome browser and Internet explorer

is this a known bug? what should I do? is there a fix for it?
I have moodle 3.1 but I see it on moodle 3.2 as well

Sorry to hear that you've come across a bug in Atto. Thanks for checking whether demo.moodle.net is also affected. You are correct that the site is indeed using the latest Moodle version, so it's always good to check bugs there.

I had a look in the Moodle Tracker to see whether the bug has been reported and came across a similar issue, though not exactly the same - 'Atto link functionality not being saved' - MDL-54957. I suggest you add a comment there mentioning the bug you've noticed and the fact that it is reproducible on demo.moodle.net. (If you've not used the tracker before, you'll need to create an account on the site in order to be able to comment or report an issue.)

any update on this?  any further ideas? I added a comment as you suggested but it didn't seems to change anything...
the remained closed and no one else commented...

Thanks for your comments and for voting for MDL-54957.

Regarding the closed issue, developers don't generally look at them again after they are closed. If a problem is reoccurring and is not covered by another issue, you need to create a new issue for it and link it to the closed issue.
