I feel a bit silly, but I couldn't find any information about badges available here at moodle.org. I mean, as a person that is easily amused I might like to earn some badges while lurking around here... So, how to find out which badges are issued by moodle.org?

Hi Samuli,
We currently only have site badges, so you'd need to look in the Navigation block under Site pages - https://moodle.org/badges/view.php?type=1
