You can add multiple sections with the plus button at the bottom of the page - it will give you the option to select how many you want to add. There still appears to be no way to delete multiple sections.
This looks to be the same in 3.4 as well. I'm not seeing any further activity on this in the tracker since Aug. 10, 17: http://bit.ly/2BpA3R6
I expect this will be hard to explain to our faculty.
