I teach a large class that I have divided into groups in Moodle for the purpose of recording attendance. The different groups attend at different times/days so using groups makes it easy to record attendance. However, if I want to display or export (to Excel) an attendance report for any one group I get (empty) columns for all the sessions for all the groups. The names from other groups are not displayed/exported.
We use Moodle 2.7 or 2.8 (not sure). In earlier versions of Moodle this problem did not exist. Does anyone know what went wrong? Any ideas on how to fix?
