You can have different logos for each category. Go to Site Admin > Courses > Manage Courses and Categories, and edit a category. Add a logo and/or text to the category description box.
You can also have seperate themes for different categories if you want the 'Gucci' solution. Go to Site Admin > Appearance > Themes > Theme Settings, and tick the box for 'Allow Category Themes'
