If you are planning on adding images to your Moodle site and find that it's not that easy if the theme you like the best does not have a setting to upload images. and the areas you can add image via the Text Editor only allows you to add a link to an image, do not dispare as all you need to do is add an image folder to your theme and fill it with the images you intend to use.

Once you have added this new directory and added all your images, you can zip up your theme and install it via the setting in Moodle. Site administration > Plugins > Install plugins > then click the Install ZIP button.

Then when you want to add an image in the Frontpage summary or all the other areas like Banner, Headier or Footnote that may be available in a theme, you can add your images using the absolute hyperlink to it for example:

http://your organisation URL/theme/your-theme-name/images/staffphoto-2016.jpg

Hope this helps?
