Have no idea where a document root would be using whm nor cpanel, etc.. in a jailed system.
The script runs unoconv with -vvv (verbose) ... if it can't convert the doc it should tell you. If unoconvert cannot find your listener it will also tell you that ... but spawn it's own listener to completed.
I only suggested having it in webroot so one could see the pdf. Of course to know, you'd also have to download the .docx and the .odt and open them in native app to be able to compare the unoconverted pdf file.
