The HTML5 recorders only work on HTTPS, its something they decided over at Google/Mozilla I think. The default port for https is 443, and http is port 80. I am guessing thats why you got the HTML5 recorder on 443 and Flash recorder on 80.
But you are right that it is interesting. It is worth me testing that a little.
