About the M3.2 version

As Moodle 3.2 is due to be released on the 28th November 2016 I am planning a version for it.  How long that will take and how much effort it will require I don't know as M3.2 is currently in 'Beta'.  I have tried Essential for M3.1 on M3.2 however there is new RTL flipping CSS technology that may cause unexpected issues when I originally improved the theme between M3.0 and M3.1 to make this easier.  Please may I ask that people don't nag me for a version for M3.2, it only wastes my time which is better spent on the theme / working out what needs to be done / funding mechanisms etc.  I will make announcements on this forum in due course.

The possible future of Essential and support

In order to keep the theme alive and sustainable I'm considering all sorts of options including a private 'paid for' support group / forum.  I will continue to look at any bugs that pertain to the theme as long as no changes have been made to it by you.  It is 'so' important that you read the forum rules for this forum before posting.  Please read the README.txt file fully before contacting me and asking for help with your site.

Past versions

Maintaining the M2.9 and M3.0 versions takes time.  I'm considering dropping any further releases unless there is a business case to maintain them.

Cheers,

Gareth

It looks like in the M3.1 version that the gradebook setup colours are still an issue.  I'm working on a fix.

Ok, after spending most of the day on re-fixing issue #780 I think I have a solution, therefore if you have a development server running M3.1, please could you test: https://github.com/gjb2048/moodle-theme_essential/issues/780 - specifically checkout the 'master' branch on GitHub (https://github.com/gjb2048/moodle-theme_essential) and look at the issue for what needs to be checked.
