Hi all,

just like during release of Moodle 3.1 we need extra time to polish our new features, especially new theme Boost based on Bootstrap 4. Theme has already been integrated under MDL-55071 and you can take a look at it on qa.moodle.net or test on your development servers with your plugins while we are working on the follow ups.

We do not want to start other pre-release tasks such as community QA cycle and documentation writing before the polishing is finished. Therefore we decided to move the release date by two weeks and instead of planned second Monday of November it will happen on 28th of November.

As a result the code freeze is also moving by two weeks and will happen on 24th of October.

Minor releases of stable versions will comply with the regular release schedule and are still expected on November 14.

Code freeze for Moodle 3.2 has officially started today. From now on improvements can still be sent for review but integration will be delayed until 3 weeks after release (Dec 19th), they will be included in Moodle 3.3.

Moodle HQ made a big push in peer reviewing all improvements to give them chance to be included in Moodle 3.2. Apologies for some delays with reviewing bug fixes. Bug fixes are not affected by the code freeze and they will be integrated during code freeze as usual.

Looking forward all the new features Moodle will bring us in 3.2
