Reset Course to earn Certificate with New Date? Need to complete course annually.

We offer courses for medical re-certification and sometimes the user needs to submit certificates each year. 


This means they need to have a certificate dated 2015, and then come back a year later and complete the course again...but their certificate needs to update with the new date. 

  • If I set a course to unenroll you have 1 month of no activity, this resets the completion data, but also removes the certificate....correct? 
  • What about a button that "resets" the course - the user could click it and start over, and therefore earn a new certificate a year later....however, will this still loose their certificate from a year ago?


Ideas/tips/solutions appreciated.

The problem with unenrolling is that when they reenroll, it will bring back their data from last year.

You can reset the course each year - this will clear out all students and their data.

Or you could just duplicate the course each year.  This is the cleanest way as it retains all the previous data, the students have a new course to complete and you can update it if needed.
