I have a course that is active on my moodle site. Another instructor wanted to duplicate what I have and then modify it for his own needs for his course section. If I go into the target course, and select Import, I know I can bring things from my course into his. My question is this. In my course, there are many files that are available and are linked from a file repository (I told it to create a link to the file, rather than a copy into the course). The import into his course is taking a LONG time. When importing into the target course, are these links re-created (ideally, this is how I would like it work), or are all of the files being copied locally into the target course?
Any help would be much appreciated! The import currently does not work, and I get the dreaded "error/cannot_finish_ui_if_not_setting_ui" error. I have tried increasing my max execution time without success.
