I am not able to update the grahics in the mini HTML editor. It stays the same after I say update. It works fine by going in the text mode.
Any sugestions on how to do this in the editor?
Yep, I see this problem too. 
Unfortunately it's in a bit of code that I didn't write ... I've filed bug 193 on http://bugs.moodle.com to fix it later.
In the meantime you can just delete the old image and re-insert a new one.
