Backup destination folder not writeable

Backup destination folder not writeable

I am trying to set the automated backup path to C:\users\administrator\Google drive.  I have tried using the long path name and the short path name.  NO LUCK.  I get the following error:

"The backup destination folder does not exist or is not writable."

In fact, I get that error for any path with the exception of C:\.

I looked at the permissions on the folder, and it seems moodle has full access:

Any thoughts on what setting I am overlooking?

Thank you!

And this is the Moodle server that the Google Drive folder is on?  Have you tried with the webservice user?  That is the user that needs access.

Yes.  This Google Drive Folder is on the Moodle server

Then I think your problem is that it is the administrator that has access to the folder and not the IIS_User(I am guessing here at the web server user - I am a linux person!)  Moodle access is coming from the web so it is the web server that needs to be able to access the folder, not the administrator.

Thanks Emma.  That did it.  ...and I had to make sure I was accessing the folder in the directory tree and not just a shortcut link!
