I was successful in removing the ribbon. Although I had to make a change.
You suggested
#page-header .context-header {display: none}
HOWEVER, which we modified to #page-header.clearfix {display: none} and that worked!
You may have noticed from my Moodle Profile I am based in Rotterdam and London. Where I construct eLearning packages for www.International-Alert.org a humanitarian aid org.
