How to remove participants profile link in moodle 2.8 chat

Hello I am using moodle 2.8 chat activity and I want to remove participants profile link when I clicked on participants name. Infact I dont want any link on participants name just want to display name itself.

Hello,

There was a chat bug relating to participants' profile links fixed recently (for 2.9.4 and 3.0.2) - MDL-51445. The fix doesn't do exactly what you want, but perhaps it can help you figure out the code that needs changing.
