mp4 screencasts from a webdav repo

I'd like to show mp4 videos as a topic resource from a webdav repository, but the easy way does not work: after adding the webdav repo, I add a new File and with File Picker I select the webdav repo and the file:

selecting the file

The file is linked in my topic and the type (video/mp4) is correct

topic with video

but when I open the video resource (Video_wd_popup, and also Video_wd_download), the problem appears:

file corrupt window

Video can't be played because the file is corrupt. Note that the same video is played ok if I add it as a URL resource (Video_wd_link in the above figure).

I'm using moodle 2.9, and I'm not an administrator.

Thank you!

I have additional details about the problem, and this has nothing to do with webdav, I guess.

When I set the aspect of the Video to "open" it happens that when I ask for a download, the video is downloaded with a spurious header: attached is the hexdiff between the original video and the downloaded file.

When I remove the spurious header

me-Options: SAMEORIGIN
X-XSS-Protection: 1; mode=block
X-Robots-Tag: none

the video is played correctly. Surprisingly, the files have the same size...
