I would like to have the possibility to change who gets a notification when a student posts an assignment.
We have a big group of teachers and now they all get the notifications. For some assignments only a selection of them need to get the notification. Is it possible to make a new role, based on the teacher role for those teachers who don't want the notifications?
In older versions ( we now use 2.8) one could make a grouping exclusively for all the students and the selected teachers. On ly these teachers got a notification. I guess this doesn't work anymore.

1. Duplicate the teacher role. Name it whatever - e.g. no notifications. Remove the receive notifications permission. Add your teachers to it.
2. Duplicate the teacher role. Name it Group Teacher or Group Facilitor, e.g. Remove the permission to Access All Groups. Then use groups so that the teacher only receives notifications for the group that they belong to.
