IIS 5 Algebra Filter Hangs

Hi,

I am running Moodle 1.4.5 where tex filter is working fine but algebra filter seems to hang.  It appears to hang while running debug as well.

The files algebra2tex.pl and AlgParser.pm both have execute permission.

mimetex.exe also has execute permission.

Perl seems to be installed in this shared hosting server.  The safe mode is off and GD is installed.

Please suggest a solution if possible.

Just wondering if you ever figured-out what was causing your system to hang when you used algebraic  '@@'.  We are experiencing that same problem now when we attempt to use any of the algebraic @@ coding.  Does anyone have any ideas? 

In the filters both angebra and tex are enabled.  What else are we missing?

have you given execute rigts to the file cmd.exe ?
might be that

Who all will need to have execute rights to this file?  Just admin, teachers, students?

If your using IIS, then give rights to IUSR_computername (server name).

we are running apache & php not IIS.  Anyone have any ideas, as we are still hanging-up with the @@ symbols within the algebraic function.  I am trying to use TEX.  Not my favorite thing to do, but staying ahead of the wave.
