I use a Moodle 2.9.1, but in the demo neither work and is Moodle 2.6.9:
On mobile devices you access the camera/mic via the "record or choose a file" button. In iOS it will only record a video. That can be auto converted to mp3 if you set up FFMPEG for use with PoodLL

Are you getting errors on the PoodLL demo site, or on your site? Is there an error message?
