Hi all (Moodle 2.7-2.9). Got input from a student the other day that they find it somehow tricky to find the feedback they got from the teacher (assignment is fx incomplete - improvements have to be done - teacher wrote feedback and reopend assignment ). The student is able to see the grade but not the related feedback - previous attempt had to be opend to read the feedback. I do understand the student - Is there a way we could make it more intuitive?
We don't use drafts in our assignments at my school, and our students see the feedback immediately without looking at the previous attempts. So it may come down to the settings -- what are the 'submission settings' in that assignment's settings? ( Moodle Docs )
Ours are this:

intresting John - i got our result both with
a) require students click submit "yes" or "no"
c) attempts reopend "manual" or "automatic"
as long as nothing is reopend - the student can see the teachers feedback comments immediately.
Are you shure that the student can see the feedback comments immediately when he/she has "failed" and the assignment was reopend by the teacher? / Simon
Re: Svar: Re: Teachers feedback hard to find for students?
Yes, and it looks like the biggest difference is we use 'never' for attemps reopened. We don't have students recent until they pass we simply just have them resubmit a brand-new assignment.
Re: Svar: Re: Teachers feedback hard to find for students?
But just to be clear - when a teacher grades and adds feedback to a resubmission, students still has to look at the previous attempts to see old feedback.

ok - that´s a different usecase.
