In our 2.8 Moodle platform, I enrol users by the means of cohorts, the paractical thing has always been that when I uploaded new users I just had to add them to a cohort and done.
But now, in a course, the new users have no access - I have to add the cohort again to all of the courses in order to enrole the new ones in the course. This is definetely not very practical - is it a configuration ?

Thank you Emma, but in my case, I have to add them again and again, every time I add a new cohort member.
Usually, you cannot add a cohort twice, but here, I can - adding users the shows only the new members : in this screenshot, you see the cohort M1 FLE 15-16 which has like 30 members - it only displays one in this context:
Guess number 1: Are these restored courses? And did you perhaps restore as manual enrollments?
Guess number 2: When you enrol the cohort, you are not actually doing a cohort enrolment but adding the users from the cohort.
Go to Enrolment methods and add a new enrolment. Select Cohort Sync and then select your cohort. This should then continually sync them.
