Hello,

My institution is thinking of integrating either the Pearson or McGraw Hill publisher plugin into our instance of Moodle. Does anyone have any experience with their installation and maintenance that can provide me with some feedback on them?

We run both in our Moodle environment. For the longest time the Pearson blocks didn't work behind a proxy and I had to modify their Curl calls so they did, but Pearson have recently made the change to use the Moodle wrapper so this now appears to work correctly. They both work pretty well for the most part; but we leave the upload of users etc to the schools who use the block (MH AAIRS).

We block the external grade updates however due to local security policy so I can't comment on how well the webservice in the Pearson block works.

Thank you for your reply, James.

How have you found the back-end maintenance for these plugins? Have the updates that these plugins go through given you any troubles with how they function in your Moodle environment?

No issues of any kind. Mind you they're not updated very often, either.
