Yesterday Adobe Flash was getting death threats from Facebook and getting blocked by Firefox, after news of not just security errors, but in the wild exploits, came to light.
PoodLL uses Adobe Flash mainly for audio/video recording, but it can be turned off if need be. Flash can also be turned off for the widgets, players and whiteboards. Information on how to do that is here: http://poodll.com/flash-and-poodll/
In short, in the PoodLL filter settings, widgets, players and recorders can be limited to HTML5 only in the "When to use HTML5" section. The default whiteboard can be selected in the "Whiteboard settings" section. N.B. The non flash whiteboards (LiterallyCanvas and DrawingBoard.js) are not working properly in Moodle 2.9 yet.
I am not actually advising anyone to turn Flash off. I will leave that to people more knowledgeable than me. But if you are in a situation where you cannot use Flash, the above settings should do the job.
