Let more than one instructor grade an assignment?

A few hours ago, I posted this in General, but I'm thinking it belonged here.

Is there a way to set up an assignment so that two or more instructors can each, independently, assign it a grade?

Here's what I want to do: at the end of each term we have a full day research colloquium with poster presentations. I want to put all the poster presenters in a class, and then assign all the poster judges as non-editing teachers to that class. I then want the judges to be able to fill out the rubric for each poster. The complication is, we have five different judges evaluate each poster, but I suspect that after the first judge fills out the rubric, the gradebook will show that the poster has been graded, and won't let the second judge fill out the rubric. Is there a way around this?

I've already thought of a work-around involving a questionnaire instead of a rubric, but can questionnaires be set up for non-editing teachers to fill out, rather than students?

If neither of those approaches will work, do you have any suggestions?

Have you considered using the Dataform module? On July 13, 2015, Itamar Tzadok posted a preset for a Group Peer Review activity. I recommend downloading and applying the preset in a test course. Enroll two test students, set up two groups and put one test student into group 1 and the other one into group 2. Follow the instructions that Itamar gave when he posted his preset. This will give you an understanding of the potential of this module.

This module is very flexible. You can adapt it to your needs including hiding feedback of graders/judges. Setting up Dataform to your needs will take some time, but it should be possible. The rubric can be a file which the judges will fill out and upload or it can be set up more like a marking guide.

The Dataform also supports Moodle rubrics (grading forms). It allows you to add multiple rubrics, control access to the rubrics, and include all or some in a computed grade. This requires a certain component which have not been released yet, but will be soon enough. Until then the same effect can be achieved with sets of select, radio button and/or rating fields. 微笑

The questionnaire/feedback is a good idea. Yo can set it up as:

  • Question is rates, show number as 10 or 100.
  • Non anonymous 
  • Allow multiple response

You need to create a separate course, enrol your judges as student role and rename the role to 'Judges'.
