I might not be using the most common terminology. I am looking to set up Moodle so we can specify a Curriculum Map.

We want to assign courses A, B, C to a learner.

When the learner takes the courses, they are tracked as completed based on whatever criteria we set up.

The learner can see the progress and the manager can see the progress.

If we update Course B enough that it is no longer "valid" for that learner, we want to be able to reset their completion so they no longer show it completed. It would be great if it notified them that this happened.

I did not find a plugin that does this, but "Curriculum Manager" or "map" might not be the right term to search.

Ideas??

Can you please clarify this? Not sure what do you mean by "no longer valid" 

I think the issue you wanna get solved is hidden here.

What I mean is that we decide Course B is no longer "up to date" and we would like for the learner to retake it. We don't want it to still show "complete" as it has changed enough we want them to take it again.

It's all of it. Setting up the learning path/curriculum map, Making changes, AND notifying students.

Hi Paula,

I searched for a suitable plugin and found the block Course Status Tracker. I haven't used this block. So I don't know if you can edit a completed course and reset it to "in progress" plus let the students know that they still have something to do. You probably need to test this in a test course first.

Understand now, we used to do it manually, as in resetting and sending a group message to students.

Hartmut suggestion is something to look at, the plugin my save the purpose. Thanks Hartmut

It appears to simply be nothing more than a tracker. I am trying to find something that allows me to set up a curriculum / learning map.. something where I designate a predefined set of courses to a learner and then they, a manager, or an admin, can check to see where they are in the flow of courses. The extra piece I was also looking for was a way to reset a specific course if it is re-released. But, more than anything, I need the ability to assign a path of courses to a learner or group of learners.

I think if we could enroll them, that would be fine, but not required. We can let them enroll themselves. We just need to know they completed it.

This could be added as an add-on field to the Dataform module. The field could show course completion for the entry user, and allow the manager/admin to reset that completion. This would require a bit of development though. 微笑
