This would normally mean that no slots are available to the student. Either no slots have been set up, or they aren't available (e.g. their "available from" date is in the future).
It is also possible that the student is allowed to book only one appointment, and has already done so.
A screenshot of the student screen and the teacher screen would help to isolate the problem.
