Hello,
I am recently downloading the moodle 2.4.1.1 to my PC computer and then uploading it to my server through the FileZilla. The reason I used the old version because my web hosting only support PHP 5 and MySQL 5.1.7.
After the uploading is finished, I go to my http://www.aaps.ca/moodle/server/moodle/install.php to do the set up. On database settings: I got this error message:
Error: Database connection failed
It is possible that the database is overloaded or otherwise not running properly.
The site administrator should also check that the database details have been correctly specified in config.php
Warning: mysqli::mysqli() [mysqli.mysqli]: (HY000/2002): Can't connect to local MySQL server through socket '/var/lib/mysql/mysql.sock' (13) in/services/webpages/a/a/aaps.ca/public/moodle/server/moodle/lib/dml/mysqli_native_moodle_database.phpon line 76
Then, I followed the link to check but I don't know what to do next. Can any moodle expert help me to fix this problem? I also need some help to find where is the configure.php.
Thanks
Daniel
