I'm not sure if this is the right forum, but, is it possible to amend the user fields by a script run from a Moodle course?
You can set the CRON to run a scheduled script to say create and update user fields server side, but I was wondering if it could be done manually client side.
My reasoning is that, if I can create a custom field and have the value amended through clicking a button on the course page, I can then use that value to condition access to other content in other courses. I'm trying to find a way to prevent access to content in Course A by how a user interacts with Course B.
Locally you can say if Quiz X passes with >60%, allow access to the next Quiz...
But, you can't set conditionals based on, for example, other course quizzes to affect another courses restrictions.
If you can do this then I'd be very interested to know how. If you can't currently, then the only way I can think of is the original question above regards amending user fields.
