Email notifications when a student completes a new entry for the database?

Hello,


We are piloting the use of the database in one of our Master programmes so that students can upload a file and complete their feedback online, while they can engage in a further dialogue with their tutors using comments.

The  main con of database is that teachers do not get any email notification every time that a student submit a new entry.

Is this because the database does not support sending automatic email notifications or is it our Moodle settings?

Do you know any other tool like the database which is also able to send email notifications to teachers when a student  submit an entry?

If you have Moodle 2.8, see Event_monitoring. Otherwise, there should be relevant add-on plugins that would allow you to set event notification for the Database entry added event. hth 微笑

sorry but I cannot find the plugin to set the notifications when a new entry is added (the event monitorning will not be applicable for us), could you please link it here?

We have Moodle 2.7.8, our teachers also ask for email notification each time a student completes a new entry for the database.

Looks possible with Event Monitoring in 2.8....  Other options or relevant add-on plugins to have it in 2.7 ?

I don't think so.

You'd better upgrade to v2.8 above.
