Kathir,

ADDIE is a design process for developing instructional design components or learning modules.  It has nothing to do with Moodle in particular.  ADDIE, or any other design methodology, can be used to develop courses  or modules for Moodle, but you have to know what you want do create (the 'A', Analysis part).  After that you begin Design, the first 'D' part, followed by Development, the second 'D' part.  You then do Implementation, the 'I' part - this is where you begin to add the content to Moodle.  The final phase is Evaluation, the 'E' part where you test and evaluate the implementation.

The process usually is not linear - it iterates within itself many times.

I like to use another process (backward design) suggested by L. Dee Fink and defined by Wiggins and McTighe

1. Develop your outcomes - what will students be able to do after they complete the training or course?

2. Create your assessments and be certain they are aligned with the outcomes.  I.e., how can students demonstrate they are able to do what the outcomes state?

3.  Create meaningful learning activities through which students develop the knowledge and skills that will enable them to achieve the outcomes and demonstrate their learned abilities.

4. Implement the learning activities in your learning system.

You see, neither of these methodologies is tied to Moodle in particular.  They are design processes.

Hi Floyd

Thanks for your reply post.  I understand your answer. Can you show the sample of ADDIE ? .

I'm not sure you're understanding it yet; ADDIE is an instructional design model not a learning object.
